Abstract
Introduction. This study focused on the evaluation of the workplace and the perception of osteomioarticular pain closely related to the postures adopted in the workplaces of the administrative staff of an educational institution during the year 2023.
The study aim. The aim of this study is to assess the work environment and the perception of osteomioarticular pain among the administrative staff of an educational institution in 2023, taking into account the sex and the affected body part.
Materials and methods. For this risk assessment, the ROSA methodology and the standardized Nordic questionnaire were used to identify the prevalent musculoskeletal complaints by sex and affected body part.
Results. The use of the standardized Nordic questionnaire was decisive in reflecting a higher percentage of affection in women than in men, where the most affected anatomical structures were the neck, lumbar area, and wrists. In addition, the ROSA method was applied to all teaching and administrative staff who presented these conditions, showing a prevalence of high risk of causing musculoskeletal disorders.
Conclusion. Preventive measures defined as active and passive breaks must be taken through constant supervision by personnel specialized in occupational health; this should mitigate or reduce these identified risks.
