Abstract

The exponential growth of Internet of Things (IoT) networks demands energy-efficient communication protocols to enhance network performance and device longevity. This research proposes an advanced solution using the Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol, combined with LoRaWAN technology, to optimize energy utilization in wireless IoT networks. LEACH dynamically adjusts cluster formation to balance energy consumption across nodes, while LoRaWAN ensures long-range, low-power connectivity. Data preprocessing involves noise reduction and feature extraction using the Wavelet Transform method, ensuring high-quality inputs for subsequent processing. For classification, a Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is employed, achieving robust and accurate categorization of communication data. Experimental results demonstrate significant energy savings and improved communication efficiency, showcasing the viability of this approach for scalable IoT networks.
