Main Article Content
Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare has the potential to enhance accessibility and reduce disparities. However, its effective implementation requires addressing challenges related to awareness, training, and ethical considerations. This study aims to examine the relationship between these factors and equity in healthcare access, emphasizing the role of responsible AI adoption. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing a survey-based cross-sectional design to collect primary data from healthcare professionals and patients. The study used Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and multiple regression analysis to assess the impact of AI awareness, training, and ethical considerations on healthcare equity. The findings indicate that ethical considerations play a crucial role in ensuring fairness and inclusivity in AI-driven healthcare services. Additionally, AI awareness and training were found to significantly influence the successful adoption and utilization of AI-based solutions in healthcare settings. The study provides practical implications by emphasizing the need for structured AI training programs, enhanced public awareness initiatives, and robust ethical frameworks to guide AI implementation in healthcare. The findings highlight that while AI has the potential to improve healthcare access, its responsible deployment requires a balanced approach that prioritizes ethics, education, and inclusivity. These insights contribute to the ongoing discourse on equitable and ethical AI adoption in healthcare systems.
