Construing The Prevalence Of Accessory Roots In Mandibular Canine - Case Report

Abstract
Complete knowledge on the internal and external anatomy of teeth is very important for any dental procedures. Mandibular canines will typically have one root and one root canal. But only a handful cases of mandibular canines have been reported to have accessory roots with incidence of 1-5% globally. Such accessory roots in cuspids are considered to be an uncommon variant in Indian population, which needs to be diagnosed and addressed promptly for successful dental treatment. This remains challenging and hence it is essential to document such anatomical variants for arriving at a better management techniques. Our case report highlights two cases of mandibular canine with accessory root in female patients.
